Atgofion Hen Wanc
David R Edwards Other books by David R Edwards
This is the autobiography of one of the heroes of the Welsh rock scene, written simply and in his own words. From his first taste of beer at the age of four to his problems with alcoholism and mental illness during the last decades, there is nothing ordinary or comfortable about the life of David R. Edwards. The books tells of the growth in popularity of Datblygu, the author's friendship with John Peel (who arranged five sessions for him on Radio One), but we mainly have here a story of the author's battles with life, bad jobs, women and alcohol. Like his songs, the writing is raw, honest and full of dark humour. According to his friend Emyr Glyn Williams, "the autobiography will take its place next to the rest of Dave's work and will highlight one of the most important artistic treasures of our heritage."
